Relationship with Union County College
Trinitas School of Nursing, in partnership with Union County College, conducts a Cooperative Nursing Program that awards students a Diploma in Nursing from Trinitas School of Nursing and an Associate in Science degree from Union County College upon successful completion of the program.
The Generic RN track:
Follow these steps to apply:
1. Attend a Trinitas School of Nursing Information Session within 12 months of submitting application.

2. Take and pass the TEAS Exam. Click here for all information for TEAS Exam . A minimum composite score of 55% is required. The TEAS score is valid for two years to the application date. As of June 3, 2022; the updated version of the ATI TEAS exam will be released. Click here for frequently asked questions for ATI TEAS Version 7 exam .
3. You must initially apply to Union County College in order to be eligible to apply to Trinitas School of Nursing. 4. Official transcripts from other colleges and universities must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org for evaluation. Please keep in mind, this can take up to 6 weeks, especially at peak application times. Plan accordingly. Transfer credit for any of the Trinitas School of Nursing curriculum courses must be posted to the student’s Union County College transcript prior to Generic RN application submission.
5. After your transcripts from other institutions have been evaluated, or if you do not have courses to transfer in from other institutions, set up a meeting with Academic Advising. They will review your transcripts and advise which courses you may still need to take to be eligible to apply to Trinitas School of Nursing. 6. Prospective students must have successfully completed, transferred credit in, be currently enrolled or registered in at Union County College the following co-requisite courses for NURE 130 (Introductory Nursing course at Trinitas School of Nursing) at the time of application submission:
Either English 101 or English 112.
7. A minimum Union County College GPA of 2.5 is required. Students who have transferred all their co-requisite courses from other institutions will have a UCC GPA of 0.00. Although your application to Trinitas School of Nursing will be considered, your application may not be as strong as applicants who have taken their co- requisite courses at UCC.
Successful completion of these courses is required before progressing to NURE 131.
A minimum grade of C is required for all science curriculum courses.
When to Apply:
Spring semester application dates:
• The Generic RN Applications are accepted between November 1 and November 30.
• Admission notifications can be expected by December 10th.
• Applicant acceptance date by December 17th.
Fall semester application dates:
• The Generic RN Applications are accepted between June 1 and June 30th.
• Admission notifications can be expected by July 15.
• Applicant decision date by July 22.

Transfer Credit From Other Colleges and Universities
If a student completes any applicable science or general education courses at another college or university, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure Union County College receives official transcript evidence for the corresponding transfer credit to be entered on the Union County College transcript. Please also note the following:
> Official transcripts from other colleges must be sent to the Union County College Admission office for evaluation.
> The transcript evaluation process may take up to 6 weeks to be completed with the posting of equivalent courses to your Union County College transcript.
> The nursing program does not accept transfer credits for nursing coursework from other academic institutions.
> Students who have completed college level courses at an accredited college or university will be evaluated for transfer credit for up to 36 credits.
> A minimum grade of “C” or 70 is required to receive transfer credit for all general education courses.
> While transfer credits are accepted, students who have taken nursing curriculum courses at Union County College (UCC) will have priority ranking for Generic RN application consideration based on a UCC GPA and quality (grade) point calculation.
Students are required to maintain a minimum grade of “C+” in each nursing course and a “C” grade for all science courses. A minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) is required for entrance into all Nursing (NURE) courses. A minimum GPA of 2.50 is required for all students re-entering the nursing sequence. All nursing students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 while enrolled in the nursing program.
A maximum of seven (7) semesters are permitted to complete the generic track from the date of entering NURE 130.
